Simon Denny was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1982. He holds a BFA from Auckland University (2004) and an MFA (2009) from the Frankfurt Städelschule, and has taken part in four residencies split between Western Europe and Australia (2007–12). He uses its images and objects for his sculptural and installations.
