Prof. Dr Gert-Rudolf Flick

Prof. Dr. Gert-Rudolf Flick holds a Ph.D. in law from the Ludwig-Maximilian University,Munich and is a scholar of European art history covering the period from the 16th to 19th centuries. He is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Art History at the University of Buckingham. The former publisher of Apollo art magazine is a recognized collector of Old Masters, Italian vedutà, and 17th–19th-century silver. Professor Flick is the author of Missing Masterpieces— LostWorks of Art, 1450–1900 (2002) andMasters and Pupils: The Artistic Succession from Perugino toManet 1480–1880 (2008).
