Prof. Dr Claudia Wiesner is Jean Monnet Chair and Professor for Political Science at Fulda University of Applied Sciences and Adjunct Professor in Political Science at Jyväskylä University. In spring 2019 she was also Visiting Fellow at the Center for European Studies at Harvard University. Previously, she was Acting Professor for Comparative Politics at Hamburg, Bochum, and Marburg Universities. She has been a Visiting Fellow at the Robert Schumann Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute (EUI), the Berlin Social Sciences Centre, and various international universities. Her main research interests lie in the comparative study of democracy, political culture, and political sociology in the EU multilevel system. Having long-standing experience in public policy consulting, she is also researching the evaluation, reform, and theory of public policy. Wiesner chairs the ECPR Standing Group “Political Concepts” and has led several research projects and international cooperation networks. She has published numerousmonographs, book chapters, and journal articles.
