Jan Klauck’s focus in artificial intelligence is its beneficial application in research and industry. To do this he founded the Berlin Exponential Institute. He has been involved with the AI community since 2008 and brought the AGI Conference to Berlin in 2015. Since 2007 he has also been working in space with a focus on Mars exploration and settlement. He runs the Austrian Space Forum’s Berlin office. For the Berlin-based space company PTScientists he manages the Moon launch scheduled for 2018. His background is computer science and complex systems and he has studied in Berlin, Osnabrück, and Hagen.
