On October 14, 2013 the last lecture of the Convoco lecture series, “Dealing with Downturns: Choices and Strategies in Uncertain Times”, took place in the Schiller Theater, Berlin.
Prof. Gerd Gigerenzer, Director of the Max-Planck-Institute for Human Development, spoke on the topic “Risk: How to Make Good Decisions in Uncertain Times.” The lecture was introduced by Dr. Corinne Michaela Flick. The presentation was followed by a panel discussion with Mr. René Obermann, CEO of Deutsche Telekom AG and Dr. Heinrich Weiss, Chairman of SMS Group, a family-run business. Together with Prof. Gigerenzer and Dr. Flick they further discussed the practical implications of going with one’s gut feelings in uncertain times, and their own experiences of risk.
